Retail Assistants (Retail & Consumer Products)
$30 – $34.99 per hour
We are seeking a Deli Assistant to join our team at Super Markets’ in the Northern Suburbs & Joondalup Perth WA. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our deli department.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and serving a variety of fresh deli products, including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and packaging items for sale
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including stocking shelves, rotating inventory, and keeping the display cases well-stocked and presentable
- Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, answering questions about products and making recommendations
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Assisting with other store operations as needed
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience working in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a deli or food service environment
- Minimum of 6 months experience in retail or food service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A passion for fresh, quality food and a commitment to food safety
- Current Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain before starting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15kg regularly
- Must have permanent right to work in Australia
