Versatile Civil Construction Company is seeking experienced and motivated Plant Operators/General Labourers to join our FIFO operations in the NT and/or Civil Construction Projects across SA. You’ll work on major projects for a global mining client as well as regional civil works, gaining exposure to a wide range of tasks to grow your skills and keep life interesting.
The Roster & Travel
- 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster for NT FIFO operations
- Direct flights to and from the mine are available from Brisbane, Darwin, Perth & Alice Springs (ability to travel to these hubs is required)
- Applicants from other locations across Australia will be considered
Your Role
- Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment: excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, loaders, water trucks & articulated dump trucks
- Perform pre-starts, routine checks, minor repairs and adjustments
- Support site prep, earthworks and general civil construction tasks
- Complete labouring duties as required
- Work within mine site safety systems, permits, and environmental requirements
- Collaborate with the team to deliver works efficiently and safely
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy civil construction equipment
- Relevant plant operator tickets/licences (excavator, roller, grader, watercart/ADT etc.)
- Heavy Vehicle Licence (HC preferred)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Strong safety mindset and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work away on roster in a camp environment
- Flexibility to work across NT FIFO and SA civil projects
Highly Regarded (not essential):
- Work Zone Traffic Management ticket
- Additional plant tickets (grader in particular)
- Previous mining or large-scale civil experience
Requirements:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check
